quarter way there . despite all my counting downs and looking forwards, yesterday passed by without any fanfare. truth be told, i almost forgot all bout it. april 26th marked the 6th month of me serving the country. well, despite all my neverending complains and whining, ns has been good to me thus far. like seriously. lets just hope that the rest of my journey passes just (if not more) peacefully than the past half year. yea half-year-and-a-day soldier!  speaking of journeys, come this time next week, i'd be all set to embark on my longest and furtherest yet. however, there's no excitement or anticipation this time round. perhaps its due to the fact that i'm not going on a holiday, but still, how many could boast of spending a month in south africa the year they turn 21? am crossing my fingers that there'd be decent shopping at least. hah. superficial right. am hoping that i'd be able to get a feel of the place and of cuz, its people too. countdown to south africa: 7 days. |
