darn it.

it's exactly 1 month to yours truly's 21st birthday and instead of looking forward to it, i'm kind of dreading the day in fact. 21 is when you are officially an adult in the eyes of the law and pretty much just about everyone. even though i kinda gave up being a child ages ago, it was still great to take comfort in the fact that you aren't all that grown up. well not anymore i guess.

come that fateful day, rest assured that there'll be no awkward gatherings of friends with me being the only common point, no fanfare and fireworks, and (i'm hoping) no birthday cakes. there's nothing like blowing 2big candles coupled with a tiny 1 to make you feel your age.

presents are always welcomed though.

gosh. can you imagine what happens when i turn 30? -.-

note:

tmr's the start of the month long hungry ghost festival. take care of yourself guys. don't stay out too late and don't turn around when you hear your name being called out while walking alone at night. unless you dropped your wallet or something.

i'm under strict orders to be home by 8pm (huat ah?) but paranoid me reckon i'll be back latest 6.

back from the city of angels, khrup.

-first time in chatuchak. def an unforgettable experience-

the best friend and myself FINALLY embarked on our subsitute-for-not-going-to-sydney holiday. while i am aware that it is bout 10months overdue and bangkok can't really be considered as an alternative to sydney, a short jaunt 2hrs north was all the time we could afford on my meager leave allowance. :(

that aside, i must say that we i really enjoyed myself on this trip. granted, all we did was shop and eat, but the company more than made up for the lack of breathtaking sights or pristine beaches. it felt good to finally be able to get away from it all and not think bout work (too much). as expected, we failed to make time out for thai massages and medi+pedi for her and medi for myself despite talking nonstop about them since day one and spending FIVE days in bkk. but then again, that's just typical of us. maybe next time?

went with 5 tees and came back with 25. as usual, i outshopped the best friend, who would have spent even less had she not been shopping for her boyfriend as well. lolz.

will update when i feel less lazy. have been wanting to sleep earlier for the past few days but me being me, that seems unlikely. will attempt to make a headstart. like now.

in other news, IT'S FRIDAY!! whoohoo!

don't forget to remember me.

-smiling only on the outside.-

cliched as it might seem, but someone once told me,

"Good friends are easy to adore,
And you've been
such a good friend to me...
... that I could ask for nothing more"

guess you forgot.

here's to freedom

the great martina mcbride once sang:

"let freedom ring,
let the white dove sing,
let the whole world know that today is a day of reckoning,
let the weak be strong,
let the right be wrong roll the stone away,
let the guilty pay,
it’s independence day!"

happy fourth of july! :)
